The beautiful Yiddish lullaby 'Dremlen feygl oyf di tsvaygn' (Birds doze on the boughs) was written by Lea Rudnitski, an inmate of the Vilna ghetto. The lyrics tell of a stranger singing to a young child whose parents are 'never coming back'.
