Hulyet, hulyet, beyze vintn!

Although it was composed far from the Nazi ghettos, 'Hulyet, hulyet, beyze vintn!' (Rampage, rampage, raging winds!) was one of the most popular songs amongst Jewish ghetto inmates. Written by Abraham Reisen and composed by Mikhl Gelbart, it depicts a bleak landscape devastated by relentless winds, and ends on the despairing note that 'Winter will last a long time,/ Summer is still far off!'.
